FG SPENT N4.6 BILLION FOR PRAYERS ON SECURITY- EFCC CONFIRMS

An officer of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Kazeem Yusuf has confirmed to an Abuja High Court that the sum of N4.6 billion out of the allocation for the Office of the National Security Adviser was spent on prayers for national security between 2014 and 2015.

He gave a breakdown in the following order:

Former Senator, Abdallah Wali got N580m which he told the EFCC he already spent on his gubernatorial election campaign in 2015.

Former secretary of the Pilgrims and Welfare Agency (PWA) in Sokoto also got N322m which he explained was used for sponsorship of pilgrims to Hajj for Sokoto indigenes.

Former Sokoto state chairman of the PDP got N111m.

Yahaya Dada got N327m!

Sani Kabir got N159m!

INEC got N293m!

A certain Amanze Obi received N15.3m for political publicity for Bafawari's presidential campaign in 2015!

And many more!!!

Some of the monies were spent for purchase of Hilux, a Lexus car, 16 Peugeot 206 cars shared to PDP LGA chairmen in Sokoto. He stated that 14 of the Peugeot were recovered during investigation.

Kazeem revealed all these while standing as the 2nd prosection witness against Bashir Yuguda, a former minister of state for Finance.
